Prof. Heikki Ailisto

Professor of networking technology interested in techno-economics. My current research interests include economics of IoT, 5G, SDN, ICN, and multihoming. My initial academic background includes physics, applied mathematics and computer science. I worked long in industry, mainly with Nokia in various positions in research and business management. I am currently leading the VTT Open Smart Spaces programme. It is a large innovation programme on Ubiquitous Computing with focus on interoperability, smartness and interaction.
